The fact

  • In 2013, Kondratyeva was appointed a member of the artistic council of the Bolshoi Ballet troupe.

needs a reference, help welcome. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:05, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Joining the council were Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, Marina Kondratyeva, Nina Semizorova, Alexander Vetrov and Galina Stepanenko, who was acting artistic director of the ballet during the period of Sergei Filin's tutelage. All of them are People's Artists of the USSR and the Russian Federation." I don't know how respected a source that site is. Looking more... GRuban (talk) 20:43, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, here we go. The horse's mouth, Izvestia, https://iz.ru/news/547387, 25 March 2013:
"Балетный худсовет Большого театра отклонил предложение профсоюза ГАБТа включить артистов в главный совещательный орган Большого балета. ...— Никаких официальных заявлений худсовет не подписывал, — подтвердила член совета, народная артистка СССР Марина Кондратьева, но добавила, что присутствовавшие на заседании не одобрили идею артистов."
transl. "The Bolshoi Theater Ballet Arts Council rejected the proposal of the Bolshoi Theater trade union to include artists in the main advisory body of the Bolshoi Ballet. ... “The artistic council did not sign any official statements,” confirmed council member, People’s Artist of the USSR Marina Kondratyeva, but added that those present at the meeting did not approve of the artists’ idea."
So she was clearly a council member by March 25, 2013, so I'd say that she became one on March 12, 2013, is corroborated. People newly elected to groups like that tend to be very active in their first few weeks - just look at Admins and Arbcom members here! --GRuban (talk) 20:53, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    • Comment: This ballerina and later master tutor of the Bolshoi Ballet in a career spanning 70 years had no article yet, and I believe should be known (beyond the appearance in Recent deaths). I also believe that the image would transfer much better than any words what she stood for, or soared for. If you feel the same please donate a hook. I am tired of having mine rejected. I'll be out for the day, but will review later. You can pick from the lead:
Marina Viktorovna Kondratyeva (Russian: Марина Викторовна Кондратьева, pronounced [mɐˈrʲinə ˈvʲiktərəvnə kɐnˈdratʲjɪvə]; 1 February 1934 – 8 July 2024) was a Russian ballerina at the Bolshoi Ballet. Described as "weightless, airy, poetic and spiritual", she is known for roles such as Juliet in Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet and as Adam's Giselle. She toured with the troupe to London and the Metropolitan Opera. She became a master tutor at the Bolshoi, passing the troupe's tradition for decades.
