This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Hungary. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Hungary|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Hungary. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

Ildikó von Habsburg is not notable. WP:NOTINHERITED, WP:BLPFAMILY - relationships do not confer notability and they are not notable as an equestrian. D1551D3N7 (talk) 13:27, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

- Comment: Just like for this person's sister, it's not helpful just state that this article relies on inherited notability if it is sourced. Are Vanity Fair, Index, and NLC all insufficient to establish notability? Cortador (talk) 21:02, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Who is this person? Tell me who this 22 year old is without mentioning her grandfather or family history. I could break down the sources but I did that on the other AfD, I simply don't believe they pass WP:GNG. If you believe they do please say why.
- There is a tendency in the royal side of Wikipedia to create an article for every single member of every family and it is pure cruft of no encyclopedic significance. D1551D3N7 (talk) 21:43, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- If the article is sourced, the onus is on you to show that the subject still isn't notable, not the other way around. "The sources are insufficient" isn't even the argument you used for the nomination. Cortador (talk) 21:01, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- The argument in the nomination explains why the sources are insufficient. D1551D3N7 (talk) 12:50, 30 June 2024 (UTC)

- Delete: The Vanity Fair article is alright, but there isn't really anything outside of that. The other articles cited are all primarily about the family, which don't count towards notability per WP:INHERIT. For example, this index.hu source (cited in the article) roughly translates to "this is how the great-grandchildren of the last Hungarian king, Zsófia and Ildikó Habsburg, live." The article is based on the fact that they are the great-grandchildren of the king. It's possible this could be redirected somewhere but I can't find a suitable target; ping me if you find one.
