File:Some toxic components in smoke.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Smallman12q (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Unencyclopedic. CDC or not, it's just a blatant attempt to exploit chemophobia to scare people from smoking. This image can never be NPOV, because it's explicitly created for blatant POV-pushing. It grossly misrepresents the true source of danger in cigarettes and presents trace components that are probably of very little consequence compared to toxicated PAHs and enones. In general, the credibility of Wikipedia is undermined by allowing presentation of propaganda as is. The uploader is voluntarily inactive. --vuo (talk) 00:33, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unused image: Seeming duplicate of Commons:File:Calvin T. Durgin on USS Makin Island (CVE-93), 1944-45.pg.jpg which is at Commons. Not an F8 as the two images are not the same format apparently. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:58, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Kraftwerkcoldwave.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Woovee (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Tagged as both free and unfree. If free, then it needs evidence of permission. If unfree, then it should be deleted for violation of WP:NFCC#8. Stefan2 (talk) 21:28, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Information completed. See also on the history of that page. Note, there's a talk for each file. Woovee (talk) 17:59, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • So it is unfree, then? In that case, delete for violation of WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFCC#10c (the FUR is for the wrong article). --Stefan2 (talk) 23:04, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The only opponent in this issue is invited to discuss first at the talk of the file where several points/contradictions with other files have been raised and still wait for answers. Reminder: discussion have to start at the talk first before to reach the final stage which is here. The admistrator will find my explanation at the talk. Woovee (talk) 19:05, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • If something should be deleted, then the usual thing is to nominate it for deletion. This should either be deleted for lack of evidence of permission of for violation of the non-free content criteria. In either case, it should be deleted, so the exact reason doesn't have to be identified. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:14, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This user wrote: the exact reason doesn't have to be identified. Well, what is the point of this page if no reason is given after a decision, are the decisions arbitrary? Is it a way to invite me to not insist and to give up this case? I note that this user didn't care to reply to the points I raised on the talk of the file, which is a way to avoid discussion. Woovee (talk) 19:42, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • This image showing a front cover of Sounds (magazine) is to serve the Coldwave article as it proves that the musical term Coldwave already existed in 1977 in the British press. This present file is exactly like the two similar documents already present on wiki and accepted by wiki which are: [this file also showing a cover of Sounds] and [this file showing a picture of Joy Division]. I hope this is not gonna be a question of vote because very few people debate on these deletion pages and certain persons tend to be very often supported by the same users. I wait explanations and why this file should be deleted and why not the two other instances I gave here, which are exactly the same, shouldn't. I've been editing on wiki for quite a long time, adding a lot of informations and content via a lot or research. Due to my work, some articles received a grading for instance this article and here are instances [of my contributions]. It would be appreciated if the decision came from an admistrator due to what I said previously. Thank you to drop the reply on my talk. Woovee (talk) 19:26, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I think this does add pass our non-free content criteria - the file depicts the very origination of the term which the article discusses twice - once in the lead (the very first sentence in fact) and then in the 'Origin' section. it does seem to enhance the commentary that the article makes on the subject, hence my !vote.
