  • Rogue Wave Software (history · last edit · rewrite) from various pages of the Rogue Wave Software website. Page history also contains what looks like large numbers of copyvios. Psychonaut (talk) 12:38, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've reverted to a non-copyrighted version. (Earwig's tool found some text in the current version that was identical to another webpage, but turns out they copied from us.) Can this be considered resolved now? ekips39 (talk) 20:13, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused by your edit summaries and by your comments above. What do you mean by "non-copyrighted"? Are you saying that the article now consists only of public-domain text? If so, what's the source? —Psychonaut (talk) 20:43, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
AFAICS the current text is original with that article. Copyvio detector came up with no significant copying aside from what I've already mentioned. Was I clear enough this time? ekips39 (talk) 01:43, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you. For future reference, though, you should be aware that "not copied" does not mean the same thing as "non-copyrighted". Copyright is the legal right of control over a creative work, and almost all the material you find on Wikipedia is under someone's copyright. Generally speaking, we don't care whether or not contributions are under copyright; what we care about is whether copyrighted material is contributed with the permission of the copyright holder and under terms which allow its use as free content. —Psychonaut (talk) 14:49, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
