Was nominated via proposed deletion for the reason "None of the included references appear to be significant coverage from a reliable source." PROD was removed with the rationale "irrespective of WP:USEFUL, my recollection is notability is lowered for open-source? No time for source hunting so if convinced, please take to AfD, but would be a shame" So, the person doing the removal thinks it would be a shame, thinks there might be some sort of carve-out of notability standards for open-source software, but can't be bothered to verify that or to look for better sourcing. I don't think any of those are valid reasons to decline a nomination, but that's how PROD works so here we are. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 18:09, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

- Notability isn't really the issue here. The real issue is that this is a WP:COATRACK that talks primarily about topics other than setuptools. Some of those topics may fit better in other places like pip (package manager) or Python Package Index. But none of them are written like an encyclopedia article would be, instead consisting of random tidbits of info based on sources of questionable reliability. And there's nothing left after that. Delete for that reason. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:01, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Per nom. No SIGCOV with notability as far as I can see. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 18:16, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
