Friend signed a contract in the AAGPBL, but may not have even played, according to the article text. Her entry in the AAGPBL website states "This player has not been located. We have no additional information..." I've done searches on Newspapers.com, google, and have looked in The women of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League: a biographical dictionary but have not found any significant coverage.
