The result was snow keep — consensus is that she passes WP:PROF#C3 at the very least. Multiple comments to the effect that an adequate WP:BEFORE had not been done, and that WP:BASIC may also be met. XOR'easter (talk) 20:18, 8 October 2021 (UTC) (non-admin closure)

Seems like Self Advertising Or Paid Article. in Honours and awards section 2001 Member of the the Chinese Academy of Sciences. • Keep, member of Chinese Academy of Sciences passes WP:NPROF(3). Quite a few death notices in Chinese in the article, which may indicate SIGCOV as well, though NPROF(3) is sufficient by itself.--Eostrix (^{🦉 hoot} _hoot🦉) 13:32, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
• Keep and possibly move to "Wen Xin Chen" since that is how her scientific papers are listed in English sources. • Keep. Academician of the CAS is a clear pass of WP:PROF#C3. Checking whether Wikipedia editors have added a link to her article to a list on Wikipedia is an inadequate way of verifying that and means nothing. —David Eppstein (talk) 15:19, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
• keep It's hard to find sources, both due to language/distance and as she was 95 when she died recently, so was academically active before [everything got put on] the Internet. • Speedy keep Clearly meets both WP:NPROF#3 as mentioned by others and WP:BASIC, a simple search of her Chinese name provides plenty of death WP:SIGCOV, and there is more SIGCOV at Baidu Baike's wiki article (at References section at bottom). Also, noting that searching a Wikipedia list for ones name is not a sufficient WP:BEFORE. Jumpytoo Talk 18:25, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
