RBD sales

[edit]

Hi Pedroromeromuñoz,

I saw that you changed the sales of RBDs articles and I'd like to notice to you that when you edit an article in Wikipédia you need to provide a reliable source to support the claim, which can be from notorious books, journals, websites and magazines. See the concept of reliable source here: Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Also, when you talk about sales is necessary you to understand that many times artists, record companies and fans inflate the artist number to commercial purposes and since we are talking about a latin group we also should take in consideration that Latin markets are not as big as the European market or even the US market. Most certifications that RBD received in their career were in little markets, in Brazil, which is one of the best markets for the group they sold over 2,5 million copies, more two million were sold in US only and in Mexico they sold around 4 million copies. The claim of 50 million is completely exagerated and there's no reliable source to support it, that's why I changed the sales. If you include a source for a different claim the next time it would be good you analyse the certifications of the group and see if the amount of copies seems real or inflated and also if the source can be verified for other users, see those articles if you like: Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. That's all, talk to me here or in my talk page if you like.--88marcus (talk) 22:48, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
