Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -Will Beback · · 19:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Spencer Gordon Bennet

Could you please stop adding the link. You are spamming wikipedia (see WP:SPAM). The link has been discussed earlier, and is good as a reference, but not in the external links sections. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:20, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Ingmar Bergman, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia and other sites that use the MediaWiki spam blacklist at all. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:54, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked for 48 hours for spamming. When you return, please re-read the guidelines of wikipedia to avoid a similar action being taken in the future. Thanks SGGH speak! 20:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have inserted a welcome message on top of this page, which contains links to guidelines and policies. Your additions have been reported to WT:WPSPAM. --Dirk Beetstra T C 21:16, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent insertion of spam, commercial content, and/or links is prohibited under policy. Any further spamming may result in your account and/or your IP address being blocked from editing Wikipedia.
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. You are, however, encouraged to add appropriate content to the encyclopedia. If you feel the material in question should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Hu12 21:30, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
