Ways to improve Mia Ziritt

[edit]

Hi, I'm Kebabipita. Mia Ziritt, thanks for creating Mia Ziritt!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi there. I am going to tag your article for speedy deletion, as I don't believe that the subject of your article is notable. See Wikipedia:Notability. But welcome to Wikipedia! :)

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Kebabipita (talk) 19:33, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Mia Ziritt

[edit]

Hello Mia Ziritt,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mia Ziritt for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kebabipita (talk) 19:33, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Mia Ziritt

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:43, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Mia Ziritt. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:52, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Mia Ziritt, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:53, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reported to AIV

[edit]

Hi Mia Ziritt, this is a notice to let you know that I have reported your removal of speedy deletion templates at Mia Ziritt to administrators. An administrator should assess the report in a short while, and they will take any appropriate actions. Please wait for an administrator before taking any further actions yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:55, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a place like Myspace or Facebook for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

If you do something and it is reverted (undone), you should not just do it again - that is called WP:Edit warring and leads to accounts being blocked. Instead, you should read the messages on your talk page and take notice of what they say. When another user has offered you help, you can leave them a message by clicking "talk" after their name, or you can put {{helpme}} (with two curly brackets each side) at the bottom of this talk page with a question underneath it.

But if you just want to write about yourself, this is not the site to do it. You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction; also, I think you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:11, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think this user, who apparently is young and new to WP, may have misunderstood the automatic notices that I posted to the top of the page "you may remove the speedy deletion tags yourself once the issues have been fixed". If he/she does not see any issues, then they might have removed the tags in good faith and not realised why they had been reverted, and kept on doing it over again. @Kebabipita: that's true (although there were two quite clear warnings from SPDPatrolBot later). Thanks for pointing it out. That is a rather confusing message for a speedy-deletion curation message to give - I will take the point up at WT:Page Curation.
Mia, I have unblocked the account, but please read the advice I gave you above before you edit again. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:29, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
