An anonymous IP left me this message on my user page. I'm assuming it was about the Queen's University Muslim Students' Association and that either you or User:Commerce left me the message, so I'll reply to both of you. First of all, you should know that the general practice is to leave people comments, questions, etc. on their talk page. Editing someone else's user page can be considered a form of vandalism, but since you're new it was probably just a mistake.
You may want to read Wikipedia's policies on notability. Generally we have held that a national group is notable (such as the Muslim Student Association), while individual chapters are not. Circle K (Kiwanis) also has thousands of college chapters across the North American continent, yet I can't find a single entry on wikipedia for one of those chapters. I can also assure oyu that if you peruse the articles for deletion, you will notice that this is not the only college chapter of a group that has been flagged for deletion. You claim that there are other similar groups which have not been flagged for deletion. If you can bring a specific example or two to my attention I'll be happy to try and explain the logic or flag for afd if I feel it's appropriate. --Bachrach44 16:14, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
