Welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Patricia Marroquin Norby, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). The cited source did not say that Sanders was a member of Cherokee Nation, so I edited the previous version. There are a number of sources that say that he is Cherokee - and I have added two of them to the article - and I couldn't find anything that said he claimed to have Cherokee heritage, but he wasn't Cherokee at all. Do you have a source for that?
Please see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Patricia Marroquin Norby.–CaroleHenson (talk) 22:03, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Relevant citations are:
- From Reliable sources, first paragraph:
- Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources, making sure that all majority and significant minority views that have appeared in those sources are covered (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view). If no reliable sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it. (Note: bold from the guideline)
- Without a source, it's WP:Original research.
- Wikipedia:Verifiability - "Even if you are sure something is true, it must have been previously published in a reliable source before you can add it."
- I wish you the very best of luck here. If there is something that I can do to help, please let me know.–CaroleHenson (talk) 22:06, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- If you can find some sources that say that he's not Cherokee, I would be happy to help. There are some puzzle pieces that don't fit.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:37, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
