Hi Merope,

I'm just starting to better understand Wikipedia. The links that I have added are not for the purpose of advertising products etc. While Studica Skills has sponsors, we are providing a service to students and teachers across North America, just like FIRST Robotics or some of the other links you have on the site.

Studica Skills is a way for us to give something back to the education community that we serve. I persnally was involved with FIRST, Skills Canada, Skills USA and TSA. Studica Skills is no different and provides a service to students and teachers online, where all the others do not. Having sponsors is very necessary to attract students and to make this very expensive excercise a success.

What's the difference between the Studica Skills Competitions and some that you show here? They are all for students to showcase their work. There is no diference. Yes I do have a vested interest since I want to see the competitions do well and grow to be the largest online competitions for students and schools. However it doesn't mean that what we are providing is not a good product for students and schools. Our competitions offer an opportunity for students and schools in remote areas or without the money to get involved with other competitions that you list on your site. For example, FIRST (Robotics), AIAA, AUVSI, and basically all of the rest.
