1. The problem with the Lekianoba article on Wikipedia is that it does not reflect the current historical data and contains false information. It is outdated and uses 19th century terminology. In pre-revolutionary Russia, the exonym Lezgians was used to refer to all of the people of Dagestan and even to Chechens and Ingush, yet this is no longer the case. Currently the term only applies to an ethnic group which lives in the southern Dagestan and Northern Azerbaijan. Due to lack of knowledge of this historical reality, the current day Lezgian people are blamed for Lekianoba. However, the raids on Georgia were organized and conducted by a totally different group living in Dagestan along the Georgian border, the Caucasian Avars.

2. Another matter of concern has to do with adding fake information to explain the two paintings included in Lekianoba article. The name below the painting by Valerian makes reference to Lezgians which todays may be and has been interpreted as reference to Lezgian people, however Erakle II fought against the Avary lord Nursal Bek, the original title of the second painting is translated as Lezgians return from the raid refers to Mukhammad Nutsal IV of Khunzakh.
