Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sheridan College, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
I did not roll back the page, another editor did [1] based on the opinion that most of the intervening edits violated our policies such as WP:NPOV and WP:NOTADVERT. We are here to provide a reader encyclopedic information about topics, not to be a second promotional brochure web presense for the school. ActiveBanana(bananaphone16:56, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
ok so based on the description of 'autoconfirmed status' since all my edits on the sheridan page where rolled back does this mean i technically do not have any 'edits' under my belt, so to speak? i appreaciate all your assistance. this is my first real experience with wikipedia and i'm interested in the process.
Just try to edit the article. If you can edit, then you are "auto confirmed". If you cannot edit that article yet, go find some other unprotected article and help improve it by adding sources, fixing grammar, or otherwise making it more presentable, at which time you will then be able to meet the autoconfirm criteria.
Also, I have a lot of pages on my watchlist and may miss if you make a comment here. Please place a note or talkback notification <no wiki>
The article is to be an encyclopedic overview of the topic and NOT a duplicative promotional website for the college. You appear to have a conflict of interest an should probably refrain from editing this article and put your efforts towards some other article(s) where you can contribute in an appropriately detachted and non-promotional manner. Thank you for uploading File:Faculty students.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
