Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! --Demiurge1000 (talk) 17:32, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm RA0808. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. The references added in your edits list an author with a name similar to your username, and when the links in said references are opened they point to a 403 Forbidden error. Hi RA0808, I was in the opinion that the author name in the references, should be my username.
Therefore I have been putting my name not the website writer's name. I am correcting spelling mistakes, adding useful information where needed and generally doing good for Wikipedia project IMO.
I love contributing to the knowledge here and helping enhance and grow this site.
Thank you for trying to prevent spam, however that is not what I am doing.

The main issue aside (thank you for clarifying that), the links you are adding are point to a 403 Forbidden error. Broken links should not be added to Wikipedia as sources, since no one can access them to verify their reliability and content. RA0808 talkcontribs 17:50, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi RA0808, the website appears to just have had some server down time right now. If you check it now, easyscienceforkids.com it is back. I went there a few times to read articles for my kids and it is hardly ever down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CrystalSummers (talkcontribs) 18:00, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The other major problem with the site that you added is that it is not a reliable source in Wikipedia terms. We prefer things like actual peer-reviewed scientific papers. Also, all of the spelling "corrections"

you have made were simply changes from British to American English, which are not a good idea here. Graham87 09:22, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:NY Literary Magazine

[edit]

Hello, CrystalSummers. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "NY Literary Magazine".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 15:40, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
