Adam Davies

Sorry about that - I was sure I had checked before deleting that the other Adam Davies was the same as yours, but evidently not.

However, there is still a problem, so I have moved it into a "Userspace draft" page at User:Crofty 11/Adam Davies (footballer born 1992) where you can work on it. The problem is that Wikipedia's notability standard for footballers, explained at WP:NFOOTY, requires that to have an article a footballer must have actually played for the first team, and from Soccerbase it does not seem that Davies has, yet. So if you post the article now, it will be deleted; you will have to wait until you can add a reference to show that he has played.

The article as you posted it had problems with the infobox which meant it did not display right: you can see here the edit another user made to sort it out. In order for references to display properly, you need to have at the end of the article a heading == References == and then either <references /> or {{reflist}}. Also, the beginning of the reference was missing.

If you post an article while it is still in a muddle like that, it is more likely to be deleted: it is best to develop it in a user sub-page, and then you can play with it and experiment until you get it right. A good way to start an article is to click on Help:Userspace draft and fill in the title. When it is ready, you can either move it into the encyclopedia directly, if you are confident, using the "Move" tag and selecting "{Article)" in the left-hand box and making sure you have the title correct in the right-hand box; or you can click "Submit the article" in the box at the top, which will send it to WP:Articles for creation where someone will check it and either accept it or give you feedback.
