Welcome

Hello, Christisleuth, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Office of Disinformation  19:53, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry that you have been embarrassed by the deletion of the article on you. This often happens when well-meaning friends or associates suppose that they are doing a favour by posting an article, thinking that Wikipedia is a sort of LinkedIn or Myspace and unaware that it has quite demanding inclusion standards.

I have done what I can to ensure that the deletion discussion will not be turned up by any searches on your name:

It will take a few days before search engines like Google catch up on this; but in fact I have looked through the first five pages of Google results on your name, and the only Wikipedia-related one, half way down the third page, is a copy of the deleted article at http://www.amazon.com/wiki/Christi_O%27Connor. This is described by Amazon.com as a "shopping-related Wikipedia page". I have no idea what that means, but there is nothing Wikipedia can do about it - our license permits anyone to copy and re-use material for any purpose including commercial, and there is no obligation on them to remove copies of pages which we delete. You will have to approach Amazon.com to get that page deleted.

As regards getting the page restored, that would require a review at WP:Deletion review and probably a re-run of the deletion discussion. If you would like to try, I will "userfy" the article - move it into a sub-page in your "user space" where you could work on it to make a draft for re-submission. Before deciding to do that, you should read Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:Autobiography and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide.

If you have any questions, you can reply below here - I will watch this talk page. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:48, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
