Dear 138.162.8.57,
Some of your edits on the page
September 9 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:
The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.
If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally.
If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Please see this page for help. PseudoBot (talk) 10:00, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Interstate 69, will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -MBK00423:26, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Climatic Research Unit hacking incident, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.
Hi. I reverted your edit to Encyclopædia Britannica. I checked around online, and it appears that it is still in print. If you know of a source that indicates that it has gone out of print, it would be great if you put back in your edit and added the source as a citation. Thanks! --Susfele (talk) 01:37, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've reverted your recent edit to the Medical cannabis article as unconstructive. Please read the relevant source document before making changes about it in the future. The source, a legitimate, peer-reviewed journal, refers to "studies" and "trials" interchangably. In any case, with regard to Tourette's Syndrome, the research reported included multiple randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study designs, one of which included crossover. I note, btw, that the Wikipedia article on clinical trials includes many errors, not the least of which is its exclusive focus on commercial product development. Governmental sponsorship of research is completely irrelevant as to whether research can appropriately be called a clinical trial. Again, please read the source next time before you change what's written about it on Wikipedia. – OhioStandard (talk)21:58, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Navy/Marine Corps Intranet has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/NMCI-NavyMarine-Corps-Intranet-Fan-Page/137397059632528?ref=ts. If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. This block was based, in part, on this July 29 edit to the article on the Bureau of Naval Personnel, and this July 30 edit to the article about Nicole Polizzi, and this August 3 edit to Navy/Marine Corps Intranet ( later reverted, with a link subsequently inserted to a newly-created and dubious facebook "fan" page ), and in part on the ongoing history of vandalism emanating from this IP address. People here truly appreciate the many high-quality, constructive edits that have emanated from this IP address, but there have just been too many vandalism and unconstructive/unreferenced edits to allow access to continue unsanctioned. You obviously have a lot to offer; the block will expire in one week, so please take that time to reconsider how you participate here and come back after that interval with a willingness to help improve the encyclopedia rather than damage it for a cheap laugh. I'd appreciate that, and I know everyone else here would as well. I just wanted to stop and say thanks for blocking this IP from editing. Wikipedia has too many editors concerned with article creation and trying to get information to the world. Blocking this IP will help make it much harder for that to happen and will make sure that humanity remains ignorant and in the dark. This will also allow for the editors who currently have power (you call yourself administrators I think) to prevent regular editors and users from accomplishing anything meaningful and ensuring the rest of the non administrators stay firmly under the boot. Well done. I will wait in anticipation of the day when Wikipedia is no longer around. As the Wikidrama increases the usefullness and desirability of the pedia will decrease exponentially. WP reached its peak in about 08 and has been steadily declining since then thanks to all of you. --138.162.8.57 (talk) 15:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just a general comment for anyone reading this or thinking about blocking this IP. This IP is used by the NMCI network and could be any one of hundreds of thousands of people within the Navy and Marine Corps network. So if this IP is blocked it means those hundreds of thousands of people can't contribute. 138.162.8.57 (talk) 14:08, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Paradiving, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.
If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.
If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Hello 138.162.8.57. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Paradiving".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Paradiving}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Excuse me User:Timotheus Canens, sorry for the interruption. I noticed a banner on this page that you blocked this IP. Any chance you would be willing to unlock it? This IP is used by a lot of people in the Navy and although I am sure that someone must have done some bad changes, others might do some helpful ones. I for one was going to edit an article but couldn't.
Sorry whoever you are, that's not going to happen they are blocking this IP to punish me for criticizing abuse of the tools by some admins and the Admin corps on this site protect their own ferociously. When it comes to criticizing the admins on Wikipedia, who have the power to block accounts, editing the project doesn't matter to them. They would gladly sacrifice 1 million edits and 10 million editors to make sure that I cannot edit and they aren't criticized for abusing their access or their complete and utter failure to handle their business and address the problem. Basically its easier and more politically efficient to silence the critic than to fix the problem. So, if Tim unblocks this IP, even though its used by half the US Navy, I would be incredibly surprised. They hate the air that I breath and the Wikipedia admins/Arbcom can be a vindictive bunch. Your better off just letting the misspelling, vandalism, expansion, etc. stay there. Also, if you come back to comment again, I recommend including your "signature" with ~~~~ at the end of the comment. Even though your an IP and its not exactly a signature, its considered good manners to sign posts. Cheers! Reguyla 138.162.8.57 (talk) 21:14, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Reguyla for the response, Seems like there might be more to the story, but it seems reasonable that if you criticized someone with the ability to block you that is what they did. It seems like there should be a system in place to keep that from happening, but maybe not. Its too bad about the collateral damage and blocking this IP, but if they are more worried about keeping you from editing than about all the other people who can't because of it then that's unfortunate and a loss for Wikipedia in general. I even tried to submit my request to something called articles for creation but that wouldn't work either so I guess its not that important. Have a good weekend. 138.162.8.57 (talk) 20:47, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Salvio giuliano: - Salvio giuliano, I just wanted to stop by and let you know that blocking this IP for a year, simply to keep me from contributing to the project because I actively advocate that admins should be held responsible and accountable for their actions, is pretty much on par with what I have come to expect from you and the other members of the Arbitration committee. It would be far better to simply unblock my account, since it should have already been unblocked anyway, to facilitate my ability to edit and contribute to the site but you and your peers continue to make a different choice because it is what you want. It's actions like this that stand out to everyone and show with clear evidence why editors are leaving, why newspapers and magazines are increasingly printing stories about corruption and problems with the site and why new people are not being recruited. So, the next time someone asks you what you have done to help Wikipedia, you can answer, "Nothing, I have prevented edits from getting done out of spite, from a high output, dedicated editor who believes in the project, to ensure myself and my fellow admins are free from criticism!" 138.162.8.57 (talk) 14:14, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Carrite: I couldn't agree more with [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AJimbo_Wales&diff=653627715&oldid=653624611 your assessment here. I think Roger has it completely wrong. Deleting content is not how to fix the problem. We fix the problem by making the editing environment better and not blocking everyone for silly reasons, not banning every IP, not running off new editors that haven't learned all the rules and not being complacent when actual issues are brought up. It shouldn't take a month long case to remove the tools from an abusive admin or one that's violating the rules like Wifione was. 138.162.8.57 (talk) 17:35, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Hello. Your recent edits to Thomas Moody and Waldon appear to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address.
