Thomas Joseph McCarvel Sr. (/məˈkɑːrvɪl/; 14 February 1889 - 6 March 1969) was an Irish-American railroader, miner, and politician who served as the 23rd mayor of Anaconda, Montana. He assumed office upon the death of his predecessor, Frank Joseph Provost, in 1936 and continued to serve until he lost the Democratic Party primary for mayor in 1939.

His term continued the trend in Anaconda of Democratic mayors enacting labor-friendly and worker-centric policies, reciving endorsements and frequent support from many labor organizations like local unions and Montana Labor News. He was seen as a widely accepted figure in progressive Montana politics.

Despite seeing much popularity in his time, he and his administration were marred by much litigation.
