Sawsan Najar

Singer Sawsan Najar was born July 2nd in Baghdad, Iraq. She is the middle between five kids; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She recorded four albums; her first one was released in Detroit, Michigan in the US in 2005. In 2006 she auditioned for the superstar program in Lebanon which is the Arabic version of American Idle in America. She was one of the top 10 girls in the competition. Sawsan lived in the United States since she was 17 years old. She took some piano and vocal lessons and learned a lot about the Middle Eastern music (Naghmat Sharqia). All the musicians, singers, and people would brag about how beautiful and warm her voice is. Sawsan is a big fan of singers Majida Al Romi, Kadim Al Sahir, and Um Kalthum. She started singing the Iraqi oldies songs. She likes to sing all types of music; Tarab , fast and slow songs. Sawsan traveled and performed all over the world. She enjoys what she’s doing hoping one day will get to be a star among the huge singers in the Arab country. She is releasing a whole new album very soon. She already has three music videos and hopefully will have many more.
