Leung Tsang (born July 7, 1950) is an American electrical engineer, who is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan.

Biography

Leung Tsang was born on July 7, 1950 in British Hong Kong. He received S.B., S.M., and Ph.D. degrees all from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his doctoral studies, he was advised by Jin Au Kong.

From 1981 and 1983, he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he became an assistant professor. From 1983 to 2014, he was a professor of Electrical Engineering at University of Washington, where he acted as a department chair from 2006 to 2011. In 2014, he joined University of Michigan as a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
