Clayton Middleton

Clayton G. Middleton (born December 9, 1978 in West Memphis, Arkansas) is a career IT Professional who works for Verizon Wireless in the corporate offices at Little Rock, AR. His hometown is Conway, AR but he currently resides in Little Rock, AR. In his younger days, he was heavily involved in athletics and he graduated from Conway High School West located in Conway, AR, in 1997. In 2004, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. It was during his time at UCA that Middleton found an interest in computers and technology and decided that he would persue a career in IT and telecommunications. The most notable things that he took from his studies at UCA includes basic website development, marketing, and general business management. Before Middleton worked at Verizon Wireless, he worked as an independent computer repair technician where he provided help desk support, network administration, and repair of operating systems and hardware of personal computers for local clients. Middleton is currently a Microsoft Certified Professional with an MCDST certification, and he's also a CompTIA A+® Certified Professional I.T. Technician. At Verizon Wireless, Middleton has held the titles of Technical Support Representative, Coordinator - Tech Support I, and Coordinator - Tech Support II. His current tech support roll provides advanced network, data, and smart phone troubleshooting assistance to determine why network elements, services, equipment, and features are inoperable. This position also provides floor support, processes warranty exchanges, provides billing assistance, sells products and accessories, and assists in special projects and other duties as assigned. Middleton is currently working towards obtaing CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and Cisco certifications to advance his career in computer networking and enhance his status as a Professional IT Technician. As a side project, he designed, implemented, and currently administors GolfingArkansas.com[1], a non-profit informational website about golf in Arkansas.

Middleton has always been an obsessive perfectionist and somewhat of a technophile or technofreak. He is avid golfer and enjoys running and hiking. Middleton has been a lifelong Arkansas Razorbacks fan and has been a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan since he was a kid. Middleton is known not only for being educated and tech savvy, but for also being street savvy which stemmed from his days as a misguided youth.

Tidbit

Middleton, along with his life long friend Peyton Rose, were co-constestants on Wheel of Fortune (US game show) where they met Pat Sajak and Vanna White and got to tour the historic CBS Television City. The episode they appeared on was filmed in studio 33 and aired on ABC on January 16, 1995. Wheel of Fortune is the longest-running syndicated game show in American television history.
