Edouard Privat de Garilhe, born 31 October 1985 in Versailles, is a French singer-songwriter, best known as a candidate of France's Star Academy 8.
Biography
[edit]In 2004 ,Edouard studied music at the Music Academy International in Nancy ,where he learnt music theory, harmony, guitar and vocals and worked with the likes of Richard Bona and Dean Bowman.
In 2008, Edouard was the candidate of the eighth season of Star Academy France, a popular television reality-show and musical competition. During the show, he sang with Al Jarreau, Tom Jones, Keziah Jones, William Balde, Chimene Badi, Laurent Voulzy, Akon and Rihanna. On 21 November 2008 he was eliminated before the top 5 finalists.
In 2009,he moved to Johannesburg ,South Africa to record his debut album for 2 years ,featuring Marcus Wyatt and Carlo Mombelli
In 2011,Edouard becomes the musical director of Rebel Soul Entertainment owned by Ndaba Mandela , which he leaves in summer 2012 to start his own Independent production company Ed Productions
His debut album "Neo" got digitally released worldwide on the 1st of December 2013 as Ed Privat.
