Shawn Michael Milke (born October 13, 1980) is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist. Milke is the current frontman and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Alesana. He has released 4 studio albums and 2 EP's with the band. He is also the current vocalist and pianist for his sister, Mellisa's band Tempting Paris where he has released 1 studio album.

Early Life

Milke grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his sister Melissa, the current lead vocalist for the band Tempting Paris. Milke has cited one of his biggest musical influences as The Beatles]] and was in a band called TLE for about 4 years and moved to Baltimore, Maryland to continue in the band. In the band was also Alesana's current guitarist Patrick Thompson. Milke stated in an interview that he and Thompson both wanted to make music for a living and decided to move out to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2004.

Music Career

In 2004, after leaving TLE with Patrick Thompson and moving to North Carolina Milke met with Dennis Lee, Daniel Magnuson, and Steven Tomany. Milke has stated that Alesana wasn't officially formed until October of 2004. After forming the band signed to Tragic Hero Records and released their debut EP Try This With Your Eyes Closed with Shawn on vocals and rhythm guitar. The band made the decision to replace drummer Daniel Magnuson with Will Anderson, who was later replaced by Jeremy Bryan. Adam Ferguson was also added as a guitarist in 2005. In 2006 the band left Tragic Hero and signed to Fearless Records, releasing their first studio album On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax with Milke still on vocals and rhythm guitar.

Revival Recordings (2012-Present)

In 2012 Milke formed the record company Revival Recordings and is releasing Alesana's 2014 CD through the company. Milke also has Tempting Paris on the label.

Personal Life

On September 3, 2011 Shawn Milke married Naima Baghdadi. He has a son named Sebastian (born 2012). Milke lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his family and pet Mae Mae.
