In adding to the York Civic Trust Wikipedia page, my motivation has been to add information of interest to a general readership, not to promote the Trust's interests. I am aware of Wikipedia guidelines about conflict of interest and fraud and have neither colluded with others, nor edited the page under another username.

Like many other concerned York citizens I am a member of the Trust. As an unpaid volunteer with experience in proofreading and copy-editing, I help with the Trust's Annual Report, along with user Benyon4. I have no connection with or interest in the running of the Trust as a charity.
