- The primary purpose of this template is providing a navigation to some of the higher quality lists in the Category:Lists of Sri Lankan people. It may be added into any list of Sri Lankan people and it should be added into all the lists it provides a link to. A number of general articles, like Sri Lanka or Sri Lankans also may contain this template.
- If this template inclusion onto a page leads to collapse of a more important template there, use the collapsible options on both templates to fix the situation.
This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.
To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:
{{Lists of Sri Lankans|state=collapsed}}will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.{{Lists of Sri Lankans|state=expanded}}will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.
