Notability

[edit]

While I appreciate that a lot of work went into setting up this chart, I find many of the entries somewhat quirky and not notable. Also, there are no wikilinks, nor any indication of how it was determined who goes in or not. In addition, many actually notable alumni are omitted - so I don't think this is ready for prime time, and suggest it be moved to sandbox for further work. In any case, the listing in the main article should remain, and I think you should talk about this on the main article talk page before posting it. Tvoz/talk 06:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this needs some time and attention (neither of which I can provide right now). I like the concept, though.--rocketrye12 talk/contribs 15:31, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The information was compiled by the Bronx Science Alumni Association, what I think sometimes in the early 2000s. I acquired the list from the Library archives in 2006. It's in the form of a 14 page table with title "The Bronx High School of Science List of Distinguished Alumni" and column headings "Last Name/First Name," "Year Graduated," and "Occupation." While creating the table, I added 2 Nobel Laureates, 5 Pulitzer winners, and several people listed at http://www.nndb.com/edu/812/000079575/.
