Could we please add Zoe Terakes? Isobel25 (talk) 09:40, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done Couldn't find a source that explicitly states her birth year. If we assume that this Distractify article is talking about her age at the time of writing, then she should be born around 2002, but I decided to be conservative and just used "21th century". Suggestions for improving this list

[edit]

This list currently only includes a small fraction of the notable non-binary people on Wikipedia. It can be filled out more by adding people from [1] and [2]. Eventually, this list is going to get too big to be easily maintainable. At some point, it should probably be converted into a list of lists, similar to Lists of men and Lists of women. Alternatively, if {{Wikidata list}} is ever allowed in article space, we should probably switch to using that. Nosferattus (talk) 16:06, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Perhaps we could separate by categories of professions (artists, writers, activists, entertainers, etc). Urchincrawler (talk) 19:50, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is a great idea. Nosferattus (talk) 23:57, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

List of people with non-binary gender identitiesList of non-binary people – Per Wikipedia:Article titles, the title should be "no longer than necessary to identify the article's subject and distinguish it from other subjects." Also, "non-binary people" is the more common term used by both reliable sources[3][4] and LGBT groups.[5][6][7] Nosferattus (talk) 16:55, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Support "Identities" is definitely unnecessary in the title. Given that the term "non-binary" is generally understood by most readers now, I think it is safe to do without "gender" as well. Anybody who is confused only has to read the first line of the article for clarification. --DanielRigal (talk) 18:02, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support for simplicity. At first, I'd like to point out that not everyone with a non-binary identity self-identifies as non-binary. But as discussed here, we can ignore that nuance and rename per nom. --MikutoH talk! 00:56, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support Non-binary people is more concise than "people with non-binary identities." Also Lists of Women isn't phrased as "Lists of people with female identity" so it's inconsistent to treat non-binary people differently. I support the change because of WP:CONCISE and WP:CONSISTENT

Support per nomination. Funcrunch (talk) 19:50, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add Gerard Way?

[edit]

I've never edited lists but someone should add Gerard Way 2001:9E8:480E:3700:255A:7677:8282:A3E1 (talk) 08:16, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
