Talk:Dixie Kong

This is Dixie Kong. She is a Donkey Kong character who first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. She appeared more often than Tiny Kong. She was replaced by her sister Tiny Kong in Donkey Kong 64. She was eventually brought back for Donkey Konga 2.

Relation to the Kongs?

[edit]

She is often stated to be Diddy's girlfriend, but in Donkey Kong Country 2, upon visiting Cranky the first time, he calls himself the "grandpappy" to both Diddy AND Dixie. So... Does this mean that, while they're seeing each other, that they're... related? With this comment, I can see them as distant cousins... And after all, they do live on an island, so a little incest wouldn't be too uncommon...?

The dark underworld of Nintendo exposed.
That's extremely unlikely to be the case. It's probably just a minor contradiction on Rare's part, not to mention the fact that "grandpappy" could be used very loosely. And of course, add to that the fact that Nintendo has solidly stated her to be Diddy's boyfriend multiple times while that was only said once in loose context. She also looks like a completely different species of monkey from Diddy. She doesn't have a tail. So, which is better, incest or interspecies sex? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.176.166.144 (talk) 01:03, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dixiewinning.jpg

[edit]

Image:Dixiewinning.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um...It's low-res? Someone find an image to replace it! Angry Sun 01:04, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dixie in Brawl

[edit]

Can anyone confirm that Dixie was originally going to be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? How can her fighter data be seen if she is not in the game? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.224.28.235 (talk) 00:40, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's already in the page.
