In sports in the United States, the convention would be "Shrewsbury finished nine points behind the Blackburn Rovers", but I don't know if English association football has a different convention.

It's stated in the table, but not cited in the table. Since the table isn't cited as the information is cited in the prose, it should be explicitly mentioned in the prose.

  Yes, we're sure. I imagine that source 10 is adjusting for time zone so you must be somewhere like eastern seaboard of the US? The 15:00 in the template is used for "scheduled kick off" but that's not clear so I've changed it to match the time of the kick-off in the prose.
