Katie Jane Lotte Lam is a British Conservative politician who has been Member of Parliament for Weald of Kent since 2024.[1] She is also a lyricist and scriptwriter.

Biography and political career

Lam was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she read classics. While at Cambridge she was elected president of the Cambridge Union and chairman of the Cambridge University Conservative Association.[2] She then worked in finance, spending the bulk of her career at Goldman Sachs, where she was a vice president.

She then became a special adviser, working for Suella Braverman and Boris Johnson.[3]

Musical career

Lam, in collaboration with Alex Parker, has co-written five musicals.[4]
