Katie Jane Lotte Lam is a British Conservative politician who has been Member of Parliament for Weald of Kent since 2024.[1] She is also a lyricist and scriptwriter.
Biography and political career
[edit]Lam was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she read classics. While at Cambridge she was elected president of the Cambridge Union and chairman of the Cambridge University Conservative Association.[2] She then worked in finance, spending the bulk of her career at Goldman Sachs, where she was a vice president.
She then became a special adviser, working for Suella Braverman and Boris Johnson.[3]
Musical career
[edit]Lam, in collaboration with Alex Parker, has co-written five musicals.[4]
