Watchmen is an upcoming two-part animated superhero film based on DC Comics' book series of the same name created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Directed by Brandon Vietti and written by J. Michael Straczynski, it is the second film adaptation of Watchmen following Zack Snyder's 2009 live-action film. The film was first announced in July 2023, and is split across two films subtitled Chapter I and Chapter II respectively.[1]
Chapter I is scheduled to release on August 13, 2024, while Chapter II is planned to release in 2025, being produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Paramount Pictures and DC Studios.[2][3]
