Submission declined on 12 November 2023 by Tails Wx (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines for sports persons and athletes). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Virtually identical to the version just deleted at AfD (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marcus Younis (2nd nomination)), but as the author of both, I believe you already know that. This article has already been created by you twice and deleted at AfD twice. Please improve it further before resubmitting again. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:04, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

Marcus Younis (born 3 July 2005) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a forward for A-League Men club Western Sydney Wanderers.
Club career
[edit]Raised in the suburbs of Western Sydney, Younis joined Western Sydney Wanderers at the age of 12, during which he faced recurring injuries for three years during his time.[1] At the age of 16, he was registered for the Wanderers' youth squad which played in the National Premier Leagues NSW (NPL NSW).[2]
Rewarded for his form with the youths, Younis made his A-League Men debut for the first-team on 15 January 2023, replacing Brandon Borrello in the 82nd-minute of a 1–1 draw against Melbourne City.[1] He signed his first professional contract through a two-year scholarship deal on 7 July 2023 with Western Sydney Wanderers.[3]
International career
[edit]In May 2023, Younis received his first international call-up for the Australia U18 side.[4] He made his debut as a substitute on 9 June, in a 4–2 loss to Portugal,[5] and scored his first goal for Australia in a 3–2 loss to England.[6]
On 25 September 2023, Younis was called up to Australia U20 side for friendlies against France, Netherlands and Denmark in Marbella, Spain.[7] However, two weeks later, Younis was pulled out of the squad due to injury, being replaced by Fabian Talladira from Adelaide United.[8]
Personal life
[edit]Younis has a younger sister, Talia, who plays for Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League Women. His father, Ray, was a former National Soccer League player and currently works as the Wanderers' conditioning coach.[9] His uncle, Robert, was also a footballer who played for Adelaide United.[10]
