Template editor

I am mostly requesting this to make edits to the rail-interchange template. I was previously granted temporary template editor permission but it has elapsed. I did not make extensive use of it because I didn't want to do anything wrong. That said, my knowledge of template syntax has improved considerably since I started editing routemap templates (and I know that my skill level was a concern the first time around) so I am hoping this will go through so that I can contribute more. Thanks! WMSR (talk) 22:44, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  1. NA (guideline: >1 year, applicant: 9+)
  2. 200 (guideline: >1000 edits, applicant: ~2100)
  3. 400 (guideline: >150 template edits, applicant: ~1200)
  4. NA
  5. 2 (guideline: 3 sandboxes, applicant: ~2)
  6. NA (guideline: 5 requests, applicant: ~4)
Note that since this is an evaluation, I have included the number since the original request. The values in () are the "guideline review" values and reflect the appropriate totals. Primefac (talk) 23:11, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I genuinely don't know what to say with regard to this request. On the one hand, the previous TE-grant has expired, so it makes sense to re-request access. On the other hand, the talk page of Template:Rail-interchange as it currently reads sounds like TE is the last thing that should be granted. There are both fulfilled requests and apologies for making mistakes and/or not feeling comfortable with the edits. There are some minor issues mentioned on their talk page as well.
I'd like to get Redrose64's opinion on the editor, since the three of us have been fairly heavily involved in {{rint}} editing and it's the main focus of the reason for requesting. Primefac (talk) 23:17, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Those are totally valid criticisms and I understand the need for further discussion. I would like to point out that every mistake I've made has been a minor one—nothing had any adverse impact on the template as a whole or any major impact on a particular output. Once a mistake I've made has been pointed out, I am consistently able to figure out exactly what the mistake was and correct it. Once a policy or consensus agreement is pointed out to me, I abide by it, but I haven't gone through every talk page archive of the WikiProject and there isn't a set style guide for route diagrams. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do (or work on) to make approval a more palatable scenario. Best, WMSR (talk) 00:26, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I also forgot to include a permalink to my original application in this one. [Here it is.] WMSR (talk) 00:30, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
How about granting for another temporary period (say, another two months)? Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 07:31, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@L235: I certainly wouldn't complain :) WMSR (talk) 05:22, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
 Done, again temporarily. The occasional mistake is okay (we all make them) but please demonstrate a strong competence with the process behind TPERs and template editing. Primefac (talk) 12:28, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I went inactive for a few years but I'm back. I mostly used the right back in the day on Template:Bibleverse, and that is what I'd like to use it for again. It is broken in several ways, which is the inevitable result of its inherited uses across the pedia, but I will be careful to test everything in the sandbox!
