Snidester, there is a lot of tidying up necessary of your navboxes. AWB is definitely the tool to use but your editing should be more clean before that's the right tool for you. I also note that you place links to navboxes like so {{Template:Craters on the Moon: C-F}} which should not contain "template:" as that is what the curly brackets are there for. Schwede66, Yeah I noticed that before you told me that. I'll try to make those templates cleaner. Tomorrow how ever I plan on returning to my previous work of Anti-vandalism and I'll probably return to the Moon craters thing on Friday. If you're planning to hold off my request until my navboxes are neater, then that is alright with me. I see that the Templates have been cleaned (and one of them was translated). In addition, the word "template:" has been removed from almost all pages using WP:WPCleaner (and I removed the rest). Snidester (talk) 04:46, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This is a request to reinstate the AWB permission for my account.
I was originally granted the flag in October 2015 (Special:PermaLink/683795162#User:AlexTheWhovian), but recently had it removed earlier this month during an incident thread (Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive986#Removal of AWB Access request). This was due to my apparent misuse of the flag for edits that I initially thought were non-controversial, but I later came to realize that perhaps my assumptions were incorrect. (Summarizing it, I updated "U.S." to "US" in usages of {{Episode table}} following a discussion at the WikiProject Television (Special:PermaLink/848355963#MOS:US); specific details available at the incident thread).
This is the only incident that I have had with my usage of AWB. I have performed many valid and uncontroversial/uncontested changes with AWB before this incident (examples 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16), and the administrator in the incident thread stated that I was allowed to reapply for the permission the normal way through PERM.
To provide my confirmation that such an incident will not occur gain, I have reconsidered the level of consensus that I require for larger changes, especially those that are more guideline-based. -- AlexTW 06:25, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I'm okay with this, in part due to how quickly things went down at the ANI. Mistakes were made, and there's an indication that it will hopefully not happen again. Leaving this open for now for other comments. Primefac (talk) 13:25, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Having read that rather lengthy ANI post, I sense that Alex has now got it. I assume the controversial edits are still in place and Alex has offered to revert. I therefore support restoring AWB access so that he can get on with it. Schwede66 19:32, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
User is an experienced editor in good standing, continues to be trusted with the most sensitive user rights available, has directly addressed the complaint in a reasonable way, there was no prejudice against reinstatement by the revoking admin, it was a fairly minor offense, no evidence of malicious intent, no evidence of previous misuse, and two admins already in agreement; I see no reasons not to take Alex at his word and trust that a similar dustup will not happen again.  Done. Edits: I have 200 edits on Wikisaurus and 300 edits on Викизавр (old account), but my main Wikipedia is Russian - over 20 000 edits totally and access to AWB there.
Reason: semi-automatically replace {{ref}} by {{sfn}} + {{h}}, see example and code, mainly in the articles on paintings. Wikisaurus (talk) 14:15, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
