If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

- Jinnah Mansion (currently a redirect to Corps Commander House, Lahore) → Jinnah House (move) – According to sources its name is Jinnah House, not Jinnah Mansion. Someone who was a sock moved the page without discussion and there was question about the move in the talk page. Mehedi Abedin 16:06, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- Original 106 (radio station) (currently a redirect to Original 106) → Original 106 (move · discuss) – All of the pages linked on the "Original 106" page are radio stations, so this disambiguation makes no sense, and all except this one have been defunct for 15 years after less than 3 years of activity. The others should be included in a redirect hatnote on the Original 106 page. UltrasonicMadness (talk) 15:58, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- ABC News → ABC News (United States) (move · discuss) – ABC News is a name of multiple news services, including in Australia. See the move discussion on the talk page because @BilledMammal did not move the page properly. Yours sincerely, Bas (or TechGeek105) (talk to me) 08:23, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

- That's part of the reason I'm not moving the pages until after the links are fixed, so that if my browser does crash the script can be restarted without any issues. BilledMammal (talk) 09:05, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- @BilledMammal: I believe you may be violating the bot policy right now. Also, these should be marked as minor edits to avoid spamming peoples' watchlists. SilverLocust 💬 13:08, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

- Kids in the Street (album) (currently a redirect to Kids in the Street) → Kids in the Street (move · discuss) – unnecessary disambiguation 162 etc. (talk) 18:35, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- The target has since been converted to a dab page by @Wikishovel, so it's best to ask before removing that dab, but there are many links pointing to it so the initial move definitely broke some stuff. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 18:43, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- I've dabbed the inbound links, sorry for not checking that after converting to dab. If consensus goes against the undiscussed move, then please ping me and I'll undab them again. Wikishovel (talk) 19:55, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- No objection to dabpage. 162 etc. (talk) 18:57, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Wikishovel, with multiple albums on the dab page, should this go to Kids in the Street (The All-American Rejects album) instead? -2pou (talk) 19:53, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- New Brunswick Legislature → List of New Brunswick Legislative Assemblies (currently a redirect back to New Brunswick Legislature) (move · discuss) – Article pretty much covers Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, just with a list of sessions. This page should be renamed to "List of New Brunswick Legislative Assemblies" (which redirects to this article) and "New Brunswick Legislature" should serve as a redirect to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick article. B3251(talk) 18:56, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- Overlap isn't that obvious, the New Brunswick Legislature article mentions
Today, the legislature is made of two elements: the lieutenant governor (representing the King of Canada) and the unicameral assembly called the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick.
The article also discusses the earlier history of the legislature, where the Legislative Assembly was only one half of a bicameral legislature, and the earlier items on the list include both houses. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 21:38, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

- San Lorenzo de Roma Church (Balagtas) → Balagtas Church (currently a redirect back to San Lorenzo de Roma Church (Balagtas)) (move · discuss) – The shorter name "Balagtas Church" is the more common name and not "San Lorenzo de Roma Church". Sanglahi86 (talk) 13:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Sanglahi86 A Google search shows this is probably not the WP:COMMONNAME. I suggest starting a WP:RM instead. C F A 💬 14:54, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Serviceton railway line → Ararat railway line (currently a redirect instead to Ballarat V/Line rail service) (move · discuss) – Revamped the article as the line has not been known as the "Serviceton railway line" since 1995, when the line past Ararat was converted to standard gauge and reopened as part of the then-new Western standard gauge line. Граймс (talk) 14:06, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Looking at the official V/Line maps, I can't find evidence of individual V/Lines having official names, do you have sources for "Ararat railway line" being the WP:COMMONNAME? Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 16:53, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- This article is about the physical rail line, not the V/Line service which runs on it. Both terminate at Ararat, since the rest of physical rail line was converted to standard gauge and connected to other lines to form the Western standard gauge railway line. As for V/Line, they treat their passenger service to Ararat as an extension of the Ballarat V/Line rail service (you can see that on the map you've linked, and the fact Ararat services share the Ballarat V/Line twitter account, or the fact vline.com.au only shows Ararat services after you click Ballarat, etc), so it's documented on that page instead. - MyLek (film) → Mylek (film) (move · discuss) – name correction 49.33.196.10 (talk) 15:29, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- If Mylėk is turned into a redirect to its creator Vilija Matačiūnaitė, perhaps the film should be moved to Mylek or MyLek. (I turned the former into a dab before realizing this.) Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:23, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- And if it isn't, per WP:SMALLDIFFERENCES, the film should be at MyLek (or Mylek (film)). The only question is which capitalization of the title is the most used, as the film's official material appears to use a mixed-script title that obviously can't be our article title. - KFF Tirana AS (currently a redirect to Tirana AS) → Tirana AS (move · discuss) – I had requested this move a few weeks back but I can't seem to find the request any longer. The actual name of the football team is Tirana AS. KFF that's added to the name title is incorrect. I have in my possesion a book from author Florent Hoxha titled "Futbolli Femëror Shqiptar", the only published book of its kind covering the history of Albanian women's football. In page 41, the author gives a brief profile of the club's history. Tirana AS is known as such from 2007 until at least 2021. The club was eventually disbanded. There is speculation it merged into a new club, known as KFF Tirana. I have yet to find a source that confirms this. Throughout the club's 15 year history, they have always been known as Tirana AS. This is reflected in their logo as well. In the 2020–21 table standings, they are still referred to as Tirana AS. Kj1595 (talk) 01:55, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- Last month at RMT, Ahecht pinged Fjorilda09 to ask about their addition of Tirana AS's statistics to the KFF Tirana page. Several days passed with no response—even now, Fjorilda09 hasn't edited since 29 May 2024. Ahecht, are you still contesting this? Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 03:43, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- This article's title needs to change. Here is further proof as to why: During the 2021–22 season, both KFF Tirana and Tirana AS are listed in the table standings. So, the clubs could not possibly be one of the same. In this article published last year in the Albanian Football Federation's official website, it mentions the club being affiliated or attached to KFF Gramshi. Kj1595 (talk) 20:02, 1 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Rotideypoc41352 It was unclear to me at the time as to whether such a change would be controversial to those that had maintained the statistics pages showing them at the same team, so I'll defer judgement to those more familiar with Albanian football. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 16:23, 2 July 2024 (UTC)- Thanks, Ahecht. Now that I'm looking at the article, though, it looks like there's at least one copy-paste move that happened (ComparePages for reference). I haven't the time to check further, but I am wondering if every time the article now at KFF Gramshi was moved (simplified move history:
- Tirana AS → KFF Tirana AS → KF Laçi Women → KFF Laçi → KFF Gramshi), if the article was completely rewritten and the old versions simply copied over the redirect from the move without proper attribution. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 17:49, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have written the Tirana AS article myself, gathering information from Florent Hoxha's book. This team has been known as Tirana AS from its foundation in 2007 until 2022. That's a span of 16 years. The name is displayed as such in the league standings for each season. This team has no affiliation with KFF Tirana, which is a separate club, part of the larger SK Tirana entity. Kj1595 (talk) 21:15, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- Appellation d'origine protégée (Switzerland) → Appellation d'origine protégée (move · discuss) – Unnecessary disambiguation. The French equivalent is known as Appellation d'origine contrôlée. 162 etc. (talk) 19:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- This currently points to Protected designation of origin, which is used across the EU, including France and Belgium where it is called "Appellation d'origine protégée". So the disambiguation is not that unnecessary. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 21:08, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

- Hurricane Beryl (2024) (currently a redirect to Hurricane Beryl) → Hurricane Beryl (move · discuss) – Consensus of talk page discussion. Nosferattus (talk) 19:24, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Nosferattus, once a formal RM is open, it is typically left open for a week before a formal consensus is determined by a neutral closer. You are also WP:INVOLVED in the discussion from a quick glance. -2pou (talk) 19:58, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- @2pou: In a week it won't matter. This is an article about a current natural disaster. Surely, there must be some way to act on the consensus without waiting a week. I guess we could do a cut and paste move, but that's frowned on. What do you suggest? Nosferattus (talk) 20:35, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- This is not an emergency, and having (2024) in the title for a few days is not a major issue. Once someone closes the RM (likely in a week, or maybe earlier if the consensus is obvious), it will be listed here, but it should be closed by a neutral party first. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 21:13, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- However, this storm is well agreed to be more important than the one other that's called a hurricane. The RM discussion has tilted strongly in favor. In the meantime, I redirected Hurricane Beryl to Hurricane Beryl (2024). People shouldn't need to look through a list of eight storms to find this major Cat 5 that has already set several records. It is the earliest-forming Category 5 (or even Category 4) Atlantic hurricane on record and the first major hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:53, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- At this point, an uninvolved admin should probably be closing it early, the consensus is pretty obvious. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 01:01, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
- My edit was reverted. In my opinion, the reason given for that revert does not make a lot of sense, but I don't want to edit war over it. — BarrelProof (talk) 06:03, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
