Mahasweta Ray (also spelled "Mahashweta Roy", born 2 July 1962) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Odia films. She has won awards for her performances in many movies.[1] "Sesa Shrabana" was her first movie with legendary actors Prashanta Nanda and Hemanta Das. She is actively associated with the Oriya film industry, doing some character roles and some tele-serials.[2][3][4]

Ray was born in Puri, Odisha. She studied at SCS College.
