Air War is a 1977 wargame published by Simulations Publications, Inc.

Gameplay

Air War is a game that details air combat in the modern world; an updated version included new planes and some new rules.[1]

Reception

Craig Barber reviewed the update, AirWar '80 in The Space Gamer No. 37.[1] Barber commented that "As a simulation, AirWar '80 is of high quality. If you have the cash and the interest in jet combat, you might buy it. Anybody else should skip this one."[1]

Roger Musson reviewed Air War for Imagine magazine, and stated that "Air War is definitely not a game for the novice. It requires a lot of effort just to fly your plane, let alone shoot another one down .... but for an experienced gamer who wants the best simulation of modern air combat available, this is it."[2]
