Vandalism. Mmmmmm! I love vandalism!

Sockpuppet

Hi. Again Sockpuppet in Hernanes. User https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:GARY_809. in other articles. See: Gyasi Zardes and Alexandre Pato. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/109.152.199.180 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/109.145.136.69

Other: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/109.152.211.17 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/109.152.211.1 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/86.176.181.216

User:Aledownload

You blocked this user last year for persistent addition of unsourced content and they just couldn't grasp how to source it. Frankly you blocked them before I could. The point of me coming to you is, I very very strongly believe they're back. User:Dr. Andrey Smyslov has been editing the same articles as User:Aledownload. They made a "joke" that they're back. Normally geek articles, yes could be different users, but the crossover are obscure episodes of UFO, episodes of the Cars animated series among others. All of which were edited by Aledownload. I think this is quite a clear quacking sock. Canterbury Tail talk 17:32, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The overlap is almost complete. Of 48 edits (at this time), 43 have overlapped and 3 have been to user-space. That's a 95.8% overlap. I have never seen such loud quacking. I think it'd be pointless to file an SPI here, but could be convinced otherwise. Assuming not, I suggest you do the block, with a warning that continued block evasion may lead to a ban under WP:3X. --Yamla (talk) 18:35, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah it's pretty obvious. Okay, I'll do the blocking. Canterbury Tail talk 18:54, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rejected article: Hammermen of Glasgow

Hi! My article "Hammermen of Glasgow" was rejected this morning. I believe I may need to sign the paid contribution disclosure. How can I do that, and by doing that, will my article be approved? Thanks! KristenWood4987 (talk) 14:05, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not edit articles for which you have a conflict of interest. You need to build up a history of non-conflicted edits first. WP:COI has all the details you need. --Yamla (talk) 14:20, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yamla For the record, I've already explained this in detail to them via IRC, they don't appear to be willing to disclose. Praxidicae (talk) 14:32, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
KristenWood4987, note that disclosure is mandatory, not optional. As I have already pointed out, you must declare your conflict of interest, as explained in WP:DCOI, prior to editing any article or draft. We aren't interested in having you write about your company or its clients, as explained in WP:COI. Regardless, though, disclosure is mandatory and you must do it immediately. --Yamla (talk) 14:36, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks from CiaPan

Thank you for this revert at my talk page Special:Diff/936078211. Actually I was going to reply to them I am actually involved from the series of March'19 vandalisms (threads at Oshwah's talk page archived here and here), but explaining my fair position in that situation was doomed to failure anyway.

So... Thank you once more, for this revert and for the whole adminship work you do for Wikipedia. CiaPan (talk) 16:03, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! Thanks, that made my day. :) --Yamla (talk) 16:07, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
