"Afterglow of Your Love"
Song
B-side"Wham Bam Thank You Mam"

"Afterglow of Your Love" is the unofficial final single released in 1969 by the English rock group Small Faces. The song managed to reach No. 36 in the UK Singles Charts. The song was originally titled just "Afterglow" on the album on which it first appeared in 1968, Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake.

In March 1969 the Small Faces officially broke up, with Steve Marriott going on to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton and Greg Ridley.

Andrew Loog Oldham almost immediately released an unofficial final single by the group called "Afterglow of Your Love", a power ballad, (in an alternate version that what had originally appeared on Ogdens) with the contrasting Rock sounding B-side "Wham Bam Thank You Man".

The single managed to reach No. 36 in the UK charts. The following November, Immediate released a final unofficial album entitled The Autumn Stone. It included many of their hits, including unreleased material and three live tracks recorded at Newcastle City Hall.[1]

"Afterglow" was recorded at Olympic Studios, London.

"Wham Bam Thank You Mam" was sold, under the title "Sparky Rides" or "Sparky Riders", as Rod Stewart recording on several budget CD compilations.[2]
