Stephen Lowe (born 192), Catholic priest of Auckland is the Bishop-elect of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton, New Zealand. He was appointed by Pope Francis and his appointment became public on on 23 November 2014. Lowe was born in Hokitika. After his secondary studies at Westland High School, he attended [[Holy Cross College (New Zealand)]in Mosgiel and then the St Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, United States. Lowe was ordained a priest in 1996 and served as the assistant priest in Mairehau, Ashburton and Greymouth parishes before being appointed parish priest of Timaru North. In 2005, he studied spirituality in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Lowe is the director of formation at the National Seminary, Holy Cross College, in Ponsonby, Auckland.[1]
