He is known for his raps, songs and choruses in both Dutch and English. In 2013, he released the song "Waves" and in 2014 it was remixed by Robin Schulz, leading to international recognition.

Career

2010–12: Early career

He was active from a young age, and started with graffiti and wrote lyrics about his every day experiences as an inner city youth. On August 6, 2010, Mr. Probz was shot down in Amsterdam. Half a year after the incident, he had a Dutch hit song "Meisje luister" in collaboration with Kleine Viezerik. It became a #1 hit at the FunX Hip Hop Chart.[2] In 2010 Mr. Probz was nominated for a BNN/State Award in the category "Best Artist". He was the first unsigned artist to get this nomination in the award show's history.[citation needed] In his career Mr. Probz has recorded and worked closely with artists like Alchemist, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Scott Storch, Yukmouth, Grafh, Raekwon, Royce da 5'9" and Giorgio Tuinfort, among many others.

2013–present: The Treatment and Waves

On September 16, 2013, Mr. Probz released his debut album The Treatment for free through SoundCloud.[3] The album does not feature his recent chart topping single "Waves".[4]

The international follow up to "Waves" will be "Nothing Really Matters", due for release in October 2014. [5]
