The Roca dels Moros or Caves of El Cogul is one of the fields most outstanding paintings Levantine rock art, which had its area of influence during the Paleolithic period around the release of the Iberian Peninsula. The caves are in El Cogul (Garrigues), Catalonia, and is believed to be a sanctuary or magical place for the Iberians and Romans.

They were discovered by the village rector, Ramon Huguet, in 1908, and described by Ceferí Rocafort (Cogul cave paintings, Hiking Centre Bulletin of Catalonia, 1908). Another broader issue was published by Joan Cabré in cave art in Spain (1914). Rock paintings of the Moors, as the entire Levantine rock art, have been declared by UNESCO World Heritage (reference 874).

The dance scene is the most famous. Are nine women, something new and unique of these paintings, painted in black and others red. They were seen dancing around a male figure with abnormally large phallus. Along with humans, there are several animals, and an inscription in Iberian script norteoriental and also in Latin alphabet, one of which is a votum, which indicate that the place was a sanctuary that was extended to the Iberian and Roman times. Roca dels Moros in the figures are 45, 7 of which they are engraved on the stone and 38 are painted bright red, black and dark red. The set is ready for the visiting public.

Currently being refurbished and plans to build an educational center, museum, ready to receive a greater amount of tourism.[1] Near the paintings there is a cemetery with tombs carved into the rock.
